Solr Down
I just got a notification that search is down. Pulling up our site (www.sqoot.com) confirms this.
Do you have an ETA on when it will be back up?

Hi Avand,
We had a Solr instance that got restarted and a few indexes didn't reload correctly. Could you let me know your index URL?

Okay, you should be up and running again.
Were you by chance using any of the Spatial search functionality on your index?

Yep, I saw the status flip.
Yes we rely heavily on spatial queries.

Okay. The problem had to do with loading the LocalSolr and solr-spatial-light Jar files on our server. My quick fix was to turn off spatial support in your index configuration, but I'll be sure to turn them back on again when those jars have been replaced.

It appears that spatial searching is still working now. Am I mistaken? ETA on getting this back up?

Hi Avand,
The kind of spatial search I was referring to was proper latitude- and longitude-based distance sorting and filtering via solr-spatial-light. That option was enabled on your index. I had temporarily disabled it to get your index up and running quickly, but now that has been restored as well.
In any case, your index should be back to full working status now. Do let me know if there seem to be any lingering issues.

Ah, gotcha. Yeah, I get confused by the spatial options. I think you can turn the solr-spatial-light stuff off for us. Geohashing seems to be working pretty well for us.
Thanks,
