Using Websolr with Magento

For a detailed account of setting up Magento to use Solr, refer to this series of blog articles: http://www.summasolutions.net/blogposts/magento-apache-solr-integra...

When you create an index with Websolr, we give you a URL at which you can access Solr, such as http://index.websolr.com/solr/a1b2c3d4e5f. To configure Solr within Magento — as per Part II of the aforelinked article series — you can use that URL in the configuration panel as follows:

  • Search Engine: Solr
  • Solr Server Hostname: index.websolr.com
  • Solr Server Port: 80
  • Solr Server Username: [blank]
  • Solr Server Password: [blank]
  • Solr Server Timeout: 15
  • Solr Server Path: /solr/a1b2c3d4e5f
